Artistree

Our partnership with Artistree continues to be a meaningful and enriching part of our programming. Their team brings creativity, warmth, and intention to every interaction with our participants. Finnie’s classes on Mondays here at Zack’s Place and our trips to Artistree for clay class with Fiona are always a highlight.

We also look forward to the monthly music sessions with Kathleen and Mark, whose energy and talent bring so much joy to the room.

What stands out most is the care Artistree puts into designing its programs. They create spaces where our participants feel welcomed, valued, and genuinely special. We are deeply grateful for this partnership and all that it brings to our community.

Pentangle

Each year, our partnership with Pentangle Arts brings something truly special to life for our community. Through their generosity, we are given the opportunity to take the stage at The Town Hall Theatre, transforming a beloved local venue into a space where our participants can shine. For many, theatre is more than an activity; it’s a passion. Stepping onto a full stage, under the lights, in front of a supportive audience is an experience that builds confidence, pride, and a deep sense of belonging.

Pentangle’s support doesn’t end with our annual musical. Several times throughout the year, they welcome us back to enjoy films on the big screen, creating shared experiences that our participants look forward to with real excitement. These moments-whether performing or simply sitting together in the theatre-are meaningful ways in ways that are hard to measure.

Access to stage and screen of this caliber is not something we take for granted. It is, quite simply, priceless. We are deeply grateful to Pentangle Arts for opening their doors, sharing their resources, and helping us create the opportunities that celebrate creativity, connection, and joy.

Vermont Adaptive/ spotlight on partnership

Our partnership with Vermont Adaptive continues to open doors to incredible outdoor experiences for Zack’s Place participants. Through their outstanding programs and dedicated staff, our community has the opportunity to ski in the winter, paddle in the warmer months, and enjoy adaptive biking together.

These adventures are more than just recreation-they build confidence, independence, and joy. We are deeply grateful to the generous donors who make these opportunities possible and to the amazing team at Vermont Adaptive for their commitment to inclusive outdoor experiences.

Together, we are creating moments of accomplishment, connection, and fun that our participants carry with them long after the day is done.

Quechee Uphill Challenge

On March 7, 2025, the 4th Annual Quechee Uphill Challenge was organized by QLLA Charities. The event aimed to raise funds for Zack’s Place, Upper Valley Hawks Special Olympics, and Fall Mountain Special Olympics.

This year, it successfully generated over $1,700.00 in proceeds for each of the three beneficiaries. The turnout was larger than in previous years, and the inclusion of youth ski teams added extra excitement to the day.

It truly became a community event, with all volunteers, participants, and their families enjoying a wonderful time together.
