How You Can Help
Annual Giving
Every spring, we eagerly look forward to Zack’s Place’s Annual Appeal, affectionately known as “The Stay at Home Tea.” Your generous gift, no matter the size, plays a crucial role in supporting our vital mission. At ZP, we offer enriching programming to over 100 incredible adults with developmental disabilities, many of whom journey from the vibrant Upper Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire and beyond.
All our programs are provided free of charge, featuring a diverse array of activities that empower individuals to explore their interests, from education and art to theater, fitness, adaptive sports, and exciting field trips. Our goal is to foster deep connections among participants, allowing them to learn, grow, and socialize in a warm and welcoming environment.
When you choose to donate to ZP, you are making a profound impact on the lives of individuals with special needs—your support truly matters! To make your gift, please use the online donation form above or kindly send your contribution to Zack’s Place Enrichment Center, PO Box 634, Woodstock, VT 05091. We are genuinely thankful for your support and belief in our mission!
* When planning a major gift, you should confer with your attorney or tax consultant about the kind of gift you wish to make and its specific tax advantage to you.
Outright Gifts
Thoughtful gifts can take many forms, including cash, publicly traded stocks, securities, and even real estate. Donating to The Zack’s Place Sustainability Fund not only supports a wonderful cause but can also offer significant tax deductions at both the federal and state levels. Additionally, gifting long-term appreciated stocks and securities allows you to maximize your charitable impact while sidestepping capital gains tax. You’ll typically be able to deduct the full value of your generous contributions to The Zack’s Place Enrichment Center Inc.!

Planned Gifts
A Planned Gift is a wonderful opportunity to make a significant charitable contribution, which can involve various types of assets and amounts. Often, donors collaborate with their advisors or qualified volunteers to navigate the process. These gifts can be made immediately or deferred, and they can impact the world during the donor’s lifetime or even after passing. Overall, Planned Gifts serve as a meaningful part of a donor’s financial or estate planning, reflecting their values and commitment to making a difference.
Legacy Giving
A bequest is a wonderful way to give back through your will or a revocable trust. It enables generous individuals to make impactful contributions that might exceed what they could give during their lifetime, all while still utilizing their assets. Bequests can be straightforward or conditional, allowing you to choose ZP as the recipient of a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate’s residual value. Plus, your estate can benefit from a charitable deduction for the funds allocated to ZP, making this not only a meaningful gift but a smart financial decision as well. What a fantastic way to leave a lasting legacy!
Life Insurance Beneficiary Designations
We’re excited to share that you can name Zack’s Place as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy while retaining ownership, creating a thoughtful deferred gift. This process is just like including a bequest in your will, offering you the flexibility and peace of mind to support our mission whenever you’re ready!
A donor may choose to name ZP as either primary or secondary beneficiary. If ZP is the second beneficiary, then the expectancy is contingent as it depends on the occurrence of another event.

Gifts of Real Estate
When considering gifts of real estate, the options are exciting and varied! You can share almost any type of property, whether it’s your cherished home, a lovely vacation spot, a farm, a commercial building, subdivision lots, or even an undeveloped piece of land. Your personal financial goals and needs will guide you in choosing the best giving method. Remember, making a gift during your lifetime can provide significant immediate income tax benefits compared to a will bequest. Embrace the joy of giving and the positive impact it can create!
